Each year, thousands of dogs find themselves homeless. Some are abandoned, others are lost, and some are born on the streets.
Stray dogs face many hardships in life and have to deal with hunger, disease, cars, shelter, and cruel humans who view them as pests. It’s a tough world out there!
Thankfully, there are some people who dedicate their lives to rescuing dogs from the streets and finding them loving homes.
In a video produced by the Animal Humane Society, you can follow Magpie the stray dog and watch his point of view as he navigates life on the streets.
Eventually, he gets picked up by a shelter and finds a loving home. While we see rescue stories of dogs making it off the streets all the time, Magpie’s story is different because its told through his eyes.
It’s emotional and goes to show just how much difference one person can make in the life of an animal by choosing to adopt a dog.
The video was created to raise awareness for a life-saving program called Law of the Paw that encouraged people to adopt, spay/neuter, and ID their pets.
